Phyllis studied fine art at Allegheny College, after which she pursued a career in corporate communications. Only in her retirement has she become reacquainted with her creative spirit. Thus far, she has focused on realistic depictions of the flora of south Florida where she now lives. Her passion for all things botanical was instilled in her as a child searching for the elusive lady’s slipper orchid in the woods of Pennsylvania and later as a teen working in her parents’ greenhouse and florist business. And it is this wonder at the intricacies of the natural world that she hopes to share with others through her art.
